This is your chance to be inspired and learn how to get to the next level with some of the most inspiring and talented photographers in the world.  You will have the unique opportunity to photograph along side JB and 5-7 hand selected instructors for 5 incredible days of shooting in a small workshop environment with a max of 5 attendees per 45 minute break-out class.  On the first day you will rotate through each instructor to see their teaching and shooting style and then you will be able to sign up for any instructor to get more advanced teaching.  Everyday you will have the chance to sign up and rotate through each instructor and learn a new technique.   Each nights JB and the other instructors will demonstrate 15-25 minutes of photo-editing so you can see how each finishes their award winning imagery.

DAY 0 (March 20, 2022)

12 noon:  Sallee’s arrive at castle to set up

Fly into Paris and check into hotel of your choice

5pm: Casual Photo Shoot at the Eiffel Tower (Meet at the platform)

7pm: Group Dinner (Going Dutch $)

 

Day 1 (March 21, 2022)

8-10am: Rent car and caravan out to Castle (3 hour drive)

NOON: Check-in and go to the grocery store (5 km away).  Stock up on snacks/drinks for your specific diet/needs.

2pm: Orientation (required for everyone)

3pm: Group Shootout (explore the grounds)

5pm: Cocktail Hour + Movie Night (Saving Private Ryan)

6pm: Dinner - Pizza Truck Party

8pm: Light Painting with Russell Klimas.  

9pm: Photoshop and Wine Served (Russell Klimas)

 

Day 2 (March 22, 2022) Omaha Beach Photo Trip:  DRESS WARM

7am: Sunrise (Great chance to photograph the Castle and grounds on your own)

8am: Breakfast served

9am: 3 hours of Break out Classes with all instructors (45 min sessions)

Noon: Short Break (Build your own sandwiches & pack lunch for Omaha Beach)

12:30: Leave for Photo Field Trip to Omaha Beach (group shoot)

1pm:  Parking/Sack lunch & group walk to shooting site

2pm:  Landscapes with Lars at and around Normandy American Cemetery

3:00:  Sallee Girls Shot out at Normandy American Cemetery 

3:30:  Black Veil Shot out at Normandy American Cemetery 

4-6pm: Free time to explore the grounds, visit war museum, indulge in local cuisine/wine.

6pm:  Themed Sunset Shoot w/JB on Normandy Beach.  Model: Russell (Instructors: All)

7pm: Head back to castle

8pm:  Charcuterie and cheese board served with wine

9pm:  Light up the castle with JB Sallee (Group Learning with all Instructors)

Midnight: Astro Photography with Lars (optional)

 

Day 3 (March 23, 2022) St. Michel Photo Trip:  DRESS WARM and for wet weather

7am: Sunrise (Great chance to photograph the Castle and grounds on your own)

9am: Breakfast served

10am: Photo Field Trip to St. Michel Castle (2 hour drive)

12:30pm: Eat Packed Lunch

1pm: 2 hours of shooting with all instructors 

3pm: Drive back to Castle (2 hour drive). Dinner provided at castle and have a night off.

3-6pm:  Explore the St. Michel grounds and dinner on your own (Going dutch $ and Free time)

6-7pm:  BONUS for staying attendees:  Sunset Environmental Portraiture with Lars and JB at Mont St. Michel.  

7:30pm:  Drive back to castle

 

Day 4 (March 24, 2022). Day at Castle

7am: Sunrise (Great chance to photograph the Castle and grounds on your own)

9am: Breakfast served

10-12pm: Dance Photography with Arica Lipp.  (Group Learning, bring your camera)

12-1:30pm: Sign out a model for your group and free shoot or take the morning off.

12-5pm (hair and makeup for the ladies.  Please come hair and make-up ready for pro touch ups

1:30pm: Lunch Served (build your own sandwiches)

5-7pm: Individual head shots and Group photo for everyone! (Photographers: Russell & Lars)

7pm Themed Cocktail Hour (James Bond)

8pm: Dress Up Dinner Night (Steak & Seafood Feast)

9pm: Themed Party (James Bond)

 

Day 5 (March 25, 2022)

7am: Sunrise (Great chance to photograph the Castle and grounds on your own)

10am: Late Breakfast served

11-1pm: Free time to hire out one of the models $100 euros per hour.  3 attendees max per model.

11-1pm: Print and mount your 8x10 for the Encaustic class (JB will help you)

1-3pm: Encaustic Art Class with Natalie Licini

3pm: Late Lunch Served (Build your own sandwich)

4pm: 3 hours of Breakout Classes with all instructors (45 min sessions)

7pm: Casual Dinner Served 

8pm: Photoshop and Wine Served (Instructor Holly)

 

Day 6 (March 26, 2022)

7am: Sunrise (Great chance to photograph the Castle and grounds on your own)

10am: Checkout

Caravan back to Paris

 

 

**The free time schedule to hire out models will be organized on check in day**

 

 

What you will need to bring with you:

-Camera and favorite lenses (Wide, Mid, Telo)

-Sturdy tripod

-Editing computer (optional)

-Warn/dry clothing and beginning hiking gear
-Open mind to learn a new way of photographing landscapes and people
-Notebook, expect to take notes. Lots of golden nuggets!

Flights, transportation.  Includes great information at a fair price that is a write off for your small business!

You are allowed to sell your seat if you are not able to attend for any reason, for the price you paid.  If you choose to resell your seat, please understand the studio can not aid in any way on the resell.  All transactions must be made independently.  The new attendee will need to check in to the seminar with the name of the person who originally purchased the workshop.
